More than 88,000 vehicles entered Riyadh from Al-Qassim road per day,
and 49,000 vehicles entered Makkah from Jeddah road.
Riyadh - Bishah road is the highest in exceeding the speed limit by 46%.

million trips.
The Ministry of Transport posted the total number of trips on the
Kingdom's roads was 68.000 Km, with an average of 58 million trips during May
2018, compared with the last April which was 55 million trips which means a
rise by 5.2%.
The MOT monthly report articulated around three main axes: estimating
the service levels on freeway links, the daily traffic report and the traffic
accident report. This report comes as part of the Ministry efforts to improve
the Kingdom's roads network performance, according to its goal of achieving the
best operating, and improving the safety and reducing the accidents.
Makkah roads the highest with a total of 25.3 million trips
The report pointed out Makkah is the most traffic area with a total of
25.3 million trips followed by the Eastern Province with 14.1 million trips.
Makkah-Jeddah- (Al-Harmain) road still the highest number of trips
As for the report on estimating the service levels on road connections,
two methods were used through May 2018 traffic data. First, estimating the
service levels for the highest traffic jam on the freeway link based on the
size and density. Were Makkah-Jeddah (Al-Harmain) came in the forefront with
2.8 million trips followed by Jeddah- Makkah (Al-Harmain) road with 2.4 million
trips. Second, estimating the service levels for the highest traffic jam on the
freeway link based on the average speed. Were Makkah-Jeddah (Al-Harmain) road
with a total of 2.8 million vehicles, followed by Jeddah- Makkah (Al-Harmain)
road more than 2.4 million vehicles and then Makkah-Jeddah road by 1.8 million
vehicles.

According to the report, the Ministry activate 216 Traffic Monitoring
Units during May 2018 compared to last May which was 142 units. Where two units
have been installed on Medina-Tabuk road (2nd Ring No. 15) in Al Madinah region
and Tabuk-Medina road (2nd Ring No. 15) also in Al Madinah region.
Referring to the monthly report data the heaviest traffic roads,
Makkah-Jeddah (Al-Harmain) road is the heaviest in traffic with an average of
85,256 cars, 6,356 trucks. Jeddah- Makkah (Al-Harmain) road came second with
72,226 cars and 7,956 trucks.
Riyadh entrance from Qassim road records the highest traffic average
The report pointed out that 88,000 vehicles enter Riyadh from
Al-Qassim, and more than 49,000 enter Makkah from Jeddah.
Riyadh - Bishah road is the highest in exceeding the speed limit by 46%
The monthly report stated that the speed of cars exceeded 140 km / h
and the trucks exceeded 100 km / h. Where Riyadh - Bishah road came in the
forefront by 46%, then Najran - Al-Slail road by 42%, and Al-Howtat - Al-Aflaj
by 41%.
The report also showed the highest roads in exceed the trucks the speed
limit, where Al Wajh - Umluj road by 70%, and Hail - Medina road by 68% then
Buqayq - Port road by 65%.
The highest traffic average was on the bridge that located in Al- Dwan
Tunnel to the west by more than 26,000 vehicles per day than the Exit No. 8
bridge to the airport road by more than 25,000 vehicles per day. The traffic
average on Al-Oyun - Al-Uqair road exceeded 540 vehicles per day during May
2018.
In addition to the Saher system, the comprehensive traffic accidents
report was adopted in linking these accidents with the traffic monitoring units
and locate them according to the Kilometric signs.

when discussing the roads improvement or duplication requests also in
