His
Royal Highness the Prince Muhammad bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz the Governor of
Jizan region and his Governor Vice Muhammad bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad bin
Abdulaziz, received the Minister of Transport, Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi
and the Undersecretary for Roads Mr.Majed Al-Arqubi and his Accompanying
Delegation at Al.Emirah today to inspect the road projects in region.
They
discussed many topics during the meeting relating to the scope of Ministry's actions
and the projects in the region. Also, the Minister reviewed a new methodology
upon which the MOT is currently in follow-up road projects in all areas of
Kingdom, to ensure raise the level of achievement and solving the
non-performing projects. Down to raise the level of roads safety as a priority
with a number of initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The
Minister also thanked the Governor of Jizan region for his following up the
road projects in the region, stressing the Ministry's keenness on the
completion of priority projects, according to the Regional Council.

The
Minister started his inspection tour to the road projects, the first one was
the main intersection the coastal highway with Jizan - Sabya road, he also
accelerated the pace of work and strengthening the safety. The Minister also
has insisted to completing the project on time and giving the support to
overcome any obstacles that facing any implementation the project.
The
Minister also, oversight the junction which interrupts the coastal highway
by Jizan - Abu Arish roads and giving the contractor one month to
complete the project.

"When
the coastal highway road project is completed it will be like the main artery
for the Jizan Region especially the coastal strip," said by the Minster. The
total length of coastal highway road 140 kilometers. The important things in
the project that connects the King Abdullah Airport and Jizan Economic City
with all coastal cities, and the project its will ends in the third quarter of
2019.
The
Minister’s tour included on implementation work and preventive maintenance for Sabiya
- Al Edabi road. The Minister also has stressed the contractor to complete the
project up to 3 months.

The
Minister inspected projects of the region through his visit to an
implementation of the north-south-east-west of the province of Viva. He also
discussed the progress of work and stressed contractors to intensify work.
The
Minister ended his inspection tour in Sabya-Huroob road to ensure that
maintenance contractor complies was requested to deal with roads and to
intensify the safety in it. Also, follow-up coordination of the General
Directorate of Traffic to stop the transit of trucks and change course through
its dedicated alternative route.
